EMDR INTENSIVES

An Efficient Way to Heal

Trauma impacts all areas of our lives, making it difficult to have healthy relationships, successful careers, be a proactive parent, and have a clear understanding and compassion for who we are. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) is a form of therapy that helps individuals heal from the trauma and negative beliefs that have shaped their lives. EMDR does not require talking in detail about the distressing issue or have homework in between sessions.

EMDR desensitizes you from negative feelings and negative beliefs about yourself that have been imprinted into your memory by "rewiring" your brain and allow it space to heal. EMDR Intensives are geared to assist clients to process more information and heal quicker, without needing to get into the details of the situation.

EMDR Intensives are geared to be a more effective way to get to healing. Traditional therapy sessions are restricted to less than an hour and can be interrupt the healing process. EMDR Intensives eliminates that hurdle and leads to scientifically proven effective healing.

What are the benefits of an EMDR Intensive?

intensives are more cost effective because the therapy is concentrated and highly focused. The work is much more efficient and requires less session time and less cost overall. Rather than opening up and closing things down each week, trauma issues can be opened once and so more session time is spent processing and healing.

What does the process look like?

PREPARATION PHASE

  • You will be set up with a Client Portal to fill out the paperwork geared towards you having the most effective experience.

  • Via telehealth, your Certified EMDR therapist will do an assessment to collaboratively determine eligibility and which area would assist with achieving the areas you would like to heal

PROCESSING PHASE

  • The processing phase of the intensive lasts either 3 or 5 hours, depending on package selection, in one day. There will be breaks in between for meals, rest, and self-care.

  • A deep relaxation/meditation session geared towards empowerment and continued success. Includes workbook "Points to Ponder" which assists with determining goals geared from a healed not survival mentality.

  • Your Certified EMDR therapist will provide you with personalized suggestions for continued success

What is the cost and does insurance cover it?

​Due to the nature of EMDR Intensives, they are not covered by insurance, however a super bill can be provided if you would like to pursue insurance coverage on your own. The initial assessment needs to be paid in full at the time of scheduling and 50% of the half day and full day session are due at the time of scheduling with the remainder of the payment due one week prior to your processing session.

  • Initial Assessment (90mins) $250 

  • Half Day Sessions (3hrs) $1500 
    includes your individualized treatment plan, creation of an accelerated treatment schedule that meets your individual needs and comfort level, 2.5-hour processing session, deep relaxation/meditation session, "Points to Ponder" workbook

  • Full Day Sessions (5hrs) $2000
    includes your individualized treatment plan, creation of an accelerated treatment schedule that meets your individual needs and comfort level, 4-hour processing session, lunch, deep relaxation/meditation session, "Points to Ponder" workbook

What happens after my intensive?

Many individuals can complete an intensive and return to their lives ready to move forward from a healed state. Be able to identify goals obtainable goals and have a deeper understanding of who they are. Some clients will continue to benefit from working with a therapist who can assist them in other areas that impact their day-to-day lives. Some individuals will need to schedule additional intensives to assist with their healing process. This will be determined in the initial assessment session prior to scheduling your session. We offer individual therapy to assist with this and those sessions could be covered by your insurance.
